Carrie's day went from bad to worse.
An engineer, she designed and built bleeding edge combat starships, the kind that kept Earth safe from alien invasion. Focused on her work, she lost her fiancé and her job on the same day. Oh, and her mother told her to get surgery to fix the junk in her trunk.
No thank you.
She volunteered to be matched to a Mahdfel warrior. Being in space with the warrior aliens was the only way to pursue her research. Face to face with her muscular new husband, their instant chemistry took her breath away. Falling into bed was easy but falling in love? And what were they going to do now that she was pregnant?
Vox was good for a laugh but was he daddy material?
Vox had dreamed of a mate for years.
He studied Earth cultural and courtship rituals. He even learned to eat strange Earth food, waiting for the day his mate arrived.
From the moment the curvy human woman stepped onto his ship, he knew she was everything he’d craved and their sizzling attraction can't be denied. Smart, determined and too serious, he vows to bring a smile to his mate’s face. And when she says he doesn’t take anything seriously? He’ll show her exactly how serious he is to protect her and the baby growing inside her.
This is a stand alone story with a Happy Ever After, no cheating and no cliffhangers.

Enjoyed the series of 5 (so far). IMO this fifth in the series was a fun romp but a lot of lost opportunity - great set-up for plot twists that ended up being anti-climatic. The components I enjoy were present - action & sex scenes, drama & lively interaction between H&h. The hero was fun-loving; the heroine's behavior was a odd mix between awkward nerd & aggressive & lusty. Supposed to be super smart but her actions didn't fit that description. The family confrontation scenes at the start & end of the story were lackluster & disappointing - strong females just aren't part of this series. This trend is present through most of the series - strong, opinionated males matched with soft, yielding females that chafe at restrictions but don't really fight back - at best they take stupid risks. Lot of sex scenes at odd times. The alien-ness of the males was a minor factor - shades of pink skin & horns - but WAS part of the story (all too often the aliens are so human like their characteristics aren't discussed at all).
As the series progresses - other alien mates come onboard but are never part of the story - too bad, opportunity missed. Most action happens on the ship so environment aspect is boring. The series in general isn't as rich in world build as I like - but the books are a fun read & I look forward to the next one..

Vox Warlord Brides Warriors of Sangrin Book 4 eBook Nancey Cummings Starr Huntress Reviews
What a great book full of spicy intimacy and laughter it was great to read Vox’s story and Carrie was just right for him great read I really do love this series I’m disappointed that I only have two books to go
This is probably my least favorite book in the series- and I still liked it and am glad I own it. Nothing wrong with it- just not my most favorite couple. She's feisty and he seems a bit --trying to hard -- for me.
Before getting to the end of this book, I was sorry to see the series come to an end. I am excited to see that Nancey is continuing the series! I loved seeing Vox finding his mate and being happy! I loved this book! I highly recommend including this story be included in your library!! Enjoy!!!
Was happy happy for the author to get to Vox's story. You just can't help but LOVE the little stinker.(ok so he is NOT so little lol) Vox makes you want a Mahdfel all for yourself lol. ...yep I wouldn't mind having my very own Vox....on to the next book.
Cute story with an amazingly intelligent heroine and the steps she takes to stand up for herself.
I would have enjoyed more character development with the heroine and hero. A little too instalove.
Some minor editing issues.
I could not wait for Vox's story and it did not disappoint. Carrie's serious nature is a great foil to Vox's carefree attitude. There story is highly entertaining.
I loved the character Vox in all the stories before this one. Vox's own story was a little disappointing. Not the story it's self but Vox's character. What happened to the fun loving person that was in all the other stories? He suddenly became like the other male aliens. I missed the Vox I knew. Maybe he'll be back in the next story.
